Compassionate End-of- Life Care and Support

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest decisions a family can face. Whether you are just beginning to wonder if it’s time, preparing for an upcoming appointment, or coping with a recent loss, we are here to support you.

Understanding Quality of Life

It can be hard to know how your pet is really doing, especially when daily changes are subtle. That’s why regularly assessing your pet’s quality of life can be incredibly helpful.

A thoughtful assessment gives you a way to reflect on things like comfort, mobility, appetite, happiness, and interaction — not as a checklist of “good” or “bad,” but as a way to recognize patterns and make informed decisions about your pet’s care.

Many families find the Lap of Love Quality of Life Assessment to be helpful, which you can explore here: https://www.lapoflove.com/quality-of-life-assessment

If you would like additional guidance or support as you think through your pet’s quality of life, our team is always here to help. We also have additional end-of-life and quality-of-life resources available through the clinic and would be glad to share them with you.

Decision Making

Making decisions about your pet’s care can feel overwhelming. We know this may be one of the hardest conversations you’ll have. You are not alone. Our team is here to walk with you through every step, and we welcome you to reach out if you would like to talk through any upcoming decisions.

Pet Cremation and Aftercare

When you’re ready, decisions about aftercare are a personal part of honoring your pet’s life. We offer several aftercare options below, and our team is here to help you navigate these choices with care and compassion.

  • Separated Cremation – ashes returned to the family
  • Communal Cremation – ashes not returned
  • Home Burial – where permitted by local regulations

We are happy to discuss each option in detail and answer any questions you may have, ensuring you feel supported and informed during this process.
